Genre

The genre of game I have decided to work on is a challenging 3D platformer. This will be a game that will be simple at the core but very difficult to complete. In the age we live in now there are more video games being created than ever before, thanks to tools like unity and stream we have access to play just about anything with ease. The 3D platforming genre is no different there are many games under this genre some good and some not. 


I have decided to develop a 3D platformer through this project as I see so many inspiring games and would like to add my own taste and attempt to the list. I love this genre as it can be as basic or advanced as one can make it. Charm and character can also be added either through a linear story or subtly through observations of the landscape, characters, and items.  

Gameplay

This 3D platformer will aim to be both challenging and satisfying. I aim for this game is to create a new world to host a set of enemies and difficult platforms to conquer. As it will be challenging controls will have to be tight and specific. The difficulty will be directed by the number of enemies, the tight challenging platforms of the world and the exact amount of time you have to complete a task. The gameplay will aim to be exaggerated appose to true-to-life to give the game a fun and enjoyable experience. Gameplay should have the player trying time after time to get that little bit further but not always succeeding. There is always a simple endpoint, the endpoint is just not always simple to get to.
